THE WATER BOATMAN Sunday 9th October!

Looks like Autumn's here so why not curl up with the telly and the glorious sights of Britain's canals. Alan Herd is on a journey round the canals of the Midlands, meeting fascinating characters and discovering the history of our inland waterways. THE WATER BOATMAN is on Discovery Shed on Sunday 9th October, starting at 10am and continuing on into the evening. He journeys on diverse water craft ranging from historic working boats to river cruisers, and shows us the route of the famous 'Stourport Ring".

2011 back to the future!

Happy 2011 to all ISIS MEDIA friends old and new! February will see the premiere of our first short film produced with First Act Workshops... watch this space for more info!

Isis Media's Ben Robinson and Catherine Elliott-Kemp have just returned from Media City - Salford where the NATIONS AND REGIONS MEDIA CONFERENCE at the Lowry gave plenty of food for thought for the year ahead. Steve Hewlett did a great job of chairing the conference and highlights included drama guru Andy Harries in conversation with Kirsty Wark, Channel 4's David Abraham setting out his vision for the C4 of the future and 3 would-be Chairs of the BBC Trust (Tom Gutteridge, David Elstein and Cat Lewis) pitching their wares for the gig!

Local TV was debated, a timely conversation with culture sec Jeremy Hunt's plans focussed on 10 - 12 British cities.

Exciting times!
